ALWAYS check the wick before burning and trim if necessary.

ALWAYS burn candles in a draft free area away from flammable/combustible materials.

ALWAYS place the candle on a nonflammable item (plate or trivet or tile) while burning.

DO NOT leave a burning candle unattended.

DO NOT reuse the flat metal lid to store food.  The seal of the lid could have come into contact with wax or essential oil and its ability to seal would be compromised.   The metal canning ring can be washed and reused.

DO NOT empty liquid wax down the drain.  Wipe any excess  wax away with a paper towel or tissue before washing with hot soapy water.   Soy wax and essential oils are biodegradable. Fragrance oils are not biodegradable or compostable and should be properly disposed.
