I love vintage kitchen gadgets. It is an illness. I feel it is my duty to give a home to these lovely, handy things and use them everyday. My latest find is an all metal Kitchen Aid Vegetable Shredder. Meant for shredding carrots and cabbage, I have repurposed it for shredding bars of my handmade soaps to make into laundry soap. It works beautifully and makes my job a little easier and much more pleasant. The whirring of the Kitchen Aid, the smells of the soaps, the ever growing pile of fluffy, white soap flakes.
